Rules
The short version of what gets listed and what doesn’t. Moderators use these when they review every listing. Last updated 26 Oct 2026.
- 1
Made in Malaysia
Every listing must be made in Malaysia: the developer, team or company is based here. Apps made here for the rest of the world are welcome too. Each listing also shows whether it is built for Malaysian users.
- 2
Show it’s Malaysian
Moderators may ask for proof, such as an SSM number, a Malaysian address on the store page or a .my website. Proof is kept private. If it can’t be confirmed, the listing waits.
- 3
Real, working products
Every link must lead to a working app or site. No placeholder pages, no “coming soon”.
- 4
Your own words and pictures
Write your own description. Use your own logo and screenshots. Don’t copy from app stores or other websites.
- 5
Nothing that looks official
Don’t suggest a listing is run or endorsed by the government or an agency. Don’t use government crests or logos.
- 6
Nothing harmful or illegal
No spam, gambling, adult content, scams or malware, no apps pretending to be someone else, and nothing that breaks Malaysian law.
- 7
Reviewed by hand
Moderators may edit a listing, ask a question, or say no. They can remove a listing that no longer follows these rules.
How moderators check a listing
- The links work and point to a real product.
- The maker is Malaysian. Evidence: an SSM number, a Malaysian address on the store or developer page, a .my domain, or a Malaysian company in the store’s copyright line.
- It is not spam, gambling, adult content, a scam, or an app impersonating someone else.
- The category and tags make sense, and the tagline has no typos.
- If Malaysian origin is unclear, the listing stays in the queue while moderators ask the maker or the person who nominated it. Moderators don’t approve on a guess.
Made in Malaysia, built for Malaysian users
Every listing is made in Malaysia. Listings that are also built for Malaysian users (RM pricing, LHDN or JAKIM features, Bahasa Melayu, DuitNow and so on) carry a second marker, and you can filter for them.
Corrections and removal
Makers can ask for factual errors in their listing to be fixed, and can ask for their listing to be removed. Factual information that is correct stays.
Use “Report this listing” on the listing page, or email hello@codingassistmy.com.
How MakaKami makes money
There is one ad slot, on the home page and category pages. It pays for hosting and moderation. Until a sponsor books it, it shows an ad for CodingAssistMY, which maintains the site.
Ads are always labelled. Paying for an ad never affects whether a listing is approved, the search order or the category order.
