Privacy notice

MakaKami (makakami.com.my) is run by CODINGASSISTMY ENTERPRISE (SSM registration no. IP0634363-K), the data user for the purposes of the PDPA. Contact: hello@codingassistmy.com.

• When you submit your app: your contact email and, if you give it, your SSM number. Both are private.
• When you suggest an app: your email, only if you choose to give it. It is private.
• The name you ask to be credited as (“Added by …”). This one is public, and it is optional.
• A one-way, salted hash of your IP address when you send a form, used to limit submissions to 3 an hour. We never store the IP address itself.
• Logos and screenshots you upload, which become public when your listing is approved.

To check that a listing is genuine and made in Malaysia, to ask you a question about your submission or suggestion, to stop spam, and to show the listing you asked us to publish. We don’t use your email for marketing and we don’t sell or rent personal data.

Only the listing details meant to be public: the app’s name, text, links, pictures, developer name and the optional credit name. Contact emails, SSM numbers and moderator notes are never shown on the site, in search results or in any feed.

• Contact email and SSM number: while the listing exists, and up to 12 months after it is rejected or removed, so we can answer questions about it.
• A suggester’s email: up to 12 months after the suggestion is decided.
• IP hashes: up to 30 days.
• Uploads for a listing that is rejected are deleted straight away. Uploads left over without a listing are deleted after 30 days.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare and the database and files are stored with Supabase (Singapore region). They process data only to run the site for us. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you. The ad slot is part of the page and counts only views and clicks per day.

Public pages set no tracking cookies. If you switch the language, a cookie remembers your choice. Moderators who sign in get a sign-in cookie.

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@codingassistmy.com from the address you used. We reply within 21 days. If we delete your contact details, a moderator may not be able to verify or update your listing.
